Welcome to St. John Bosco Youth Centre website

St John Bosco Youth Centre, which is located in Drimnagh Dublin 12, has now been in existence for over 60 years and today continues to proudly serve the young people of the community and their families. The Bosco is a community resource which provides pursuits, amenities, programmes and activities which seek to develop young people personally, socially, educationally and recreationally in a high-quality, safe environment that respects its users. All programmes and activities are delivered in ways which help to empower young people and develop their leadership skills – participation is therefore voluntary. The individual needs, preferences and personal situations of the young people who use the Centre are respected and the most marginalized in the community are catered for.

Programmes

Bosco Juniors

The Bosco Juniors Afterschools Programme offers educational and fun activities to young people 7 to 12 yrs of age.

Youth Work

The Youth Work Programme provides a range of different programmes and activities that run throughout the year for 10-21 year olds.

DYCE Cafe

The DYCE café is a youth friendly space that is built by young people for all young people of Drimnagh between the ages of 14-19.

New Options

New Options, New Choices offers an educational qualification through FETAC as a suitable substitute to the secondary school model.

Horizon

The Horizon Programme is to upskill unemployed young people so they can go to college or find employment.
